Traditional Quilters group retreat

36 of us met up at Grantham for a weekend retreat, with three wonderful tutors: Lynne Edwards teaching perspective, Shirley Bloomfield on needleturned Appliqué, and Carolyn Gibbs in working with stripes. They were all well attended and we were very happy with their results. Join the Guild and for an extra £10 you can join us as well!

Success at Sandown

What a thrill. Three of us have won first prize for a group quilt at this exhibition. It is our Boxing Hares quilt which I shall photo when I visit next Sunday. We are so chuffed.

In Gran Canaria

On our holidays here, but sadly I have spent two days in hospital having my appendix out! The good thing is the lovely sun, which beats the cold and snow in UK, although I believe most of it round our way in Herts has disappeared.
Before the shock, we were in the capital and just by sheer chance I found a lovely patchwork shop, called Ell@‘s. Weird name but a delightful place. Had to buy some fabric didn’t I! There was a workshop going in and some nice quilts around the place.
